Internet is an important tool that affects all aspects of todays life. Education as well as other majors is affected by the internet services.
In Oman internet connections are very slow . I think the reason is that there are no many internet providers in Oman. If there are more Internet providers in the country, each of them will try to provide beter services and then they will compete to provide faster internet.
Also I found other reasons for low internet services in a research paper intitled " Critical Assessment of the Internet Development in Oman"(al-Zubaidi,2002). These reasons are distributed population, geographical features, and poor economy compared to the developed world.

The reasons that you have mentiond are reasonable to prevent the fast speed connection.But,we still need to overcome like these issues and reasons and start to think seriesly how can solve this problem be solved?
yes we want solutions
Internet providers themself know many solutions or technologies for enhancing internet services.
e.g the solution may be changing the used technolog, but changing technology means higher costs...therfore more providers will be again the slution.
